Vigan Nimani was born in Pristina. The art works selected for this exhibition are part of a series of paintings started in 2015, intitled “Properties of the undeveloped”, for which he continues to work. The subjects of his paintings are mainly inspired from the propaganda images of former Yugoslavia, reflecting hotels and other tourist buildings as a single body of modern architecture and modernist aesthetics of the second half of the twentieth century.

The artistic innovation he brings, comes through the fragmentation of these images, turning them back in time for the similarity in De Chirico’s art in the Renaissance architecture era: to create the impression of a metaphysical infinity of shapes and sizes.
